The Lafayette Family --- Page 4 --- Obituary Sister Corine Lafayette Lewis was born January 14, 1929, to the late Estell Lafayette and Ina Eubank Lafayette in Cason, Texas. On Friday, January 21, 2022, the sweet spirit of our beloved Corine Lewis went to join the Savior in that home not made with hands, but whose maker and builder is God (Psalms 21:1). Sister Corine Lewis joined the Union Missionary Baptist Church and later joined the Charity Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she remained until death. She was a member of the Usher Board and the church Janitor until her health failed. On June 8, 1948 she united in holy matrimony to the late Frank Lewis, Jr. Corine is the fourteenth child of fourteen children. She is preceded in death by Frank Lewis, Jr., her husband of forty years; her parents. Estell Lafayette and Ina Eubanks Lafayette; Richard Lewis (nephew raised as their son); nine brothers: Estell Lafayette, Quincy Lafayette, Joe Lafayette, Sam Lafa- yette, Willie Lee (Cowboy) Lafayette, Lark Lafayette, Arthur Lafayette, Louie Lafayette and Johnnie Lafayette; five sister: Katie Lafayette-Hendrix, Inez Lafayette-Hale, Viola (Maggie) Lafayette-Bolden, Clara Lafayette Lynwood and Clement Lafayette.
