In Loving Memory of the Late Dorothy Rene Hall. Thursday, March 10, 1988, 11:00 A.M. Friendship Baptist Church, 925 W. Main, Lansing, Michigan. Rev. Lester D. Stone. Obituary: Dorothy Rene Hall was born September 3, 1930 to Emmett and Virginia Cannon in Arkansas and attended school in Garland Arkansas. She was united in marriage on October 26, 1951 to Arthur L. Hall. Mrs Hall confessed belief in Christ at a very early age... as a child and later joined Friendship Baptist Church in 1955, where she will be remembered as a very dedicated member serving on the Senior Usher Board and many other auxiliaries. God in kind compassion, called her to His bosom on March 6, 1988. She leaves to cherish her memory... her husband, Arthur, her mother, Mrs. Virginia Cannon of Hope, Arkansas, three loving daughters; Mrs. Deborah (Samson) Karanja of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Sharon (William) Johnson of Lansing and Mrs. Donna (Fred) Eikner also of Lansing; two devoted sons, Kenneth Louis Hall and Eric Maurice Hall and wife Andrea both of Lansing. Dorothy leaves to cherish eight loving grandchildren; Timothy, Keesha, Shannon, Janell, Erica, Sheala, Candace and Sherard; four dear sisters Mrs. Helen Rhindhart of Lansing; Mrs. Ersie (George) Rhodes and Mrs. Betty (Willie) Alexander both of St. Louis, Missouri and Mrs. Laverne (John) Robinson of Hope, Arkansas; two caring brothers; Emmett (Patricia) Cannon Jr. and James (Ella) Cannon both of Lansing; a host of other relatives; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Emmett Cannon Sr. in 1976, her brother, Elizie Cannon in 1985 and a sister Thelma Cannon. Mrs Hall was a resident of Lansing for 36 years and retired from Green's Apparel of downtown Lansing in June of 1981. Dorothy was friend to everyone. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
