LaQuinta DeShannon Baker was born July 12, 1977, in Texarkana, Texas to Mable and the late LeVert Baker. Her father and grandparents, Jewel and Buddy Baker preceded her in death. LaQuinta accepted Christ at an early age at the Harrison Chapel Baptist Church and she furthered her Christian Education at the Galilee Baptist Church where she was a faithful and dedicated choir member and musician. LaQuinta was under watch care membership at the Macedonia Baptist Church, (Triggs Community) where she faithfully attended until her passing. LaQuinta graduated in 1995 from Arkansas High school, Texarkana. She graduated from North Park Community College in Hot Springs, Arkansas where she received her degree in Early Childhood Education. LaQuinta's passion was caring for children. LaQuinta is remembered by her gracious smile, fun-loving spunky and resilient spirit. She enjoyed cooking, computers, telling jokes and family entertainment. Her compassionate nature did not go unnoticed. LaQuinta will always be remembered for always showing more concern for others than herself.
