Visitation - 10:00 A.M. Service - 11:00 A.M. Psalm 121:1-2. Life Journey: Born in Columbia, MS, Georgia Mae Meadious was the eldest child born to Willie and Hallie Meadious. Georgia accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of St. John M.B. Church, Columbia M.S. Georgia made Chicago her home and united in marriage to Lewis Coleman. They were blessed with three children, Venus, Janice and Lewis. Her employment began at Montgomery Ward where she retired after twenty five years of faithful service. In later years her passion was cooking. This passion led to her employment at Human Resources Development Institute (HRDI) where she was employed for four years as an assistant cook. Georgia was a faithful member of Ebenezer M.B. Church for nearly fifty years. She served as Chairman of the Ebenezer Missionary Society and The Women's Ministry. Georgia's first love was for God and she dearly loved her family and her church. Her husband Lewis, daughter Venus, and son, Lewis Bernard preceded her into eternal life. Georgia leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted daughter, Janice Fay Kennedy, sister Imogene McCray, brother Willie Medious, grandsons, Latrell Green, Samuel Kennedy III (Michelle) and Stacey Daniels, Great-grand-daughters Venus and Chloe Daniels, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
