Arrangements entrusted to Gatling's Chapel. --- Page 2 --- Burnetta Bell Sampson was born September 14, 1930 to the union of Fredrick and Charlotte Gafeney in Chicago, Illinois — the "Baby Girl" of 16 children. She married Victor Sampson on February 26, 1949; this union was blessed with six children: Robert, Cordell, Linda, Marla, Trina and Victor. Her husband and youngest daughter, Trina Bolarinwa, preceded her in death. Burnetta departed this life on October 3, 2005 at 5:30 a.m. She is survived by her sons Robert Sampson (Angela), Cordell Sampson (Carolyn) and Victor Sampson; her daughters Linda Carter (Art) and Marla Njomba (Muhuyu); two brothers Robert (Arlean) and Hubert; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
