Jessie Denry, Pastor Rev. James Jackson, Eulogist --- Page 2 --- Obituary Benjamin Franklin Ford was born in Sprudell, Arkansas on Septem- ber 14, 1939 and departed this life on February 7, 2012. He received his high school diploma from Yerger High School in Hope, Arkansas. Ben moved to Troy, Ohio in 1959 with the hopes of making a wonderful life. He completed training in welding at Hobart Brothers Company, eventually becoming a Master Welder and a Master Welding Instructor at the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. His skill reached the ultimate recognition when he had a piece of welding art placed in the Florida Institute of Art. Ben was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Al- len Ford; his parents, James, Sr. and Merigold Ford; broth- ers, James Ford, Jr., Willie Cooper and Joe Ford; and sisters, Ruby Pope and Mary Sims. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Sharice; sons, Jerry, Dennis (Roni), Douglas, Sean Patton and Demarcus Thornton; daughters, Via (Mark) Atkins, Betty Jean "Petey" (Reggie) Keith, Kristy Atkins, and Demesha Ford; stepchildren, Tinisha Muldrow, Tawana Hussey, Clark (Amanda) Muldrow, Jr., Annette Shelton, Lynnette Shelton and Utsey Shelton; two brothers, Jerry Kern and Richard (Tasha) Ford; sisters, Jerdie (Lloyd) Rich- ards, Dorothy (John) Puckett and Velma Jean (Jerry) Trotter; aunt, Hollis Fay Willis; brother-in-law, Brice Sims of Day- ton, Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and special friends (you know who you are). --- Page 3 --- n- 1l Order of Service Processional Song.
