Phillip always worked as a child and started a career at Myers Baking Company in Hope Ar. Phillip accepted the Lord God at an early age and united with the Gold Point Missionary Baptist Church until his relocation to California. Phillip had many interests and was always active and energetic and had a special passion for music and performing. He also took my Son Gregory Smith, loved, and raised him as his own child. Phillip was the love of my life, the one who did everything humanly possible to protect me even in the face of all sorts of misconceptions, he was the one who understood the true meaning of our marriage. His life taught me unconditional love and his death taught me patience and kindness. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to share his dreams, hope, love friendship and much more. A man that stood by his family and he was a true hero to all who knew him. A man who loved unconditionally, believed in sharing, and caring, put a smile on everyone's face he came in contact with, he was full of life. You will always be in my heart and the love I have for you will never ever die. Your last words to me still echoes in my ears and I will always remember them until we meet again.
