Obituary: Emma Lee Johnson, affectionately known as "Tee," was born on October 10, 1922 to the late James and Beulah Cohen. At an early age, she confessed Christ in Dundee, Mississippi. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Walter Johnson in 1940. She later moved to Chicago and united with Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. Frank K. Sims, Pastor, where she attended faithfully until she was called home. She retired from R.R. Donnelly, located in Chicago, Illinois. After retirement, she devoted her time to her faith, family and friends. Emma was involved in various church activities which included: Sunday School, Bible Study and Mission Number 2. On January 3, 2008, Emma made her transition into eternity. She has reunited in Heaven with her husband, Walter Johnson; her sister, Bessie Mae McDowell; two brothers, Willie Cohen and Joseph Cohen; and granddaughter, Margaret Morris. She leaves a testimony and cherished memories to: her sister, Joanna Williams of Buffalo, New York; her brother, Ozell Cohen of Chicago, Illinois; daughter/niece, Patricia Michelle Williams (her pride and joy) of Chicago, Illinois; nieces, Eula Mae Williams of Buffalo, New York and Jessie Mae Young (Joe) of Chicago, Illinois; nephews, Larry Williams, Aldo Williams (Teresa), Eric Abrams of Buffalo, New York, Torrey Davis, Samuel Hudson, Adourthus McDowell (Maria), Thurman McDowell, Buford McDowell, Nick McDowell of Chicago, Illinois and Walter McDowell Jr. (Lawantha) of San Diego, California; two grandsons, Richard Morris and Louis Morris of Chicago, Illinois; three granddaughters, Darlene Carter, Wendy Scott and Annette Morris of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and very dear friends.
