Evangelist Betty Brooks, Officiating. Obituary: Nellie M. Price King, the daughter of Willie Price and Katie L. Hoynes. Nellie was born May 28, 1929 in Columbia, MS. Her mother, father and brother Bruce preceded her in death. Nellie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Mission Baptist Church in Columbia, MS. Nellie moved to Chicago and united with Ebenezer Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Frank K. Sims. She served faithfully in the choir, usher board and mission board, until her health failed her. She attended school in Columbia, MS and graduated from DuSable High School in Chicago, IL. Nellie furthered her education and became a Licensed Cosmetologist. She was very dedicated in serving her customers faithfully until her health failed her. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Johnny King, who also preceded her in death. Nellie leaves to cherish her memories, her sister, Katie (Kathy) Virgil (Albert) of Columbia, MS., her surrogate daughter, Gwen; many cousins and friends.
